Scuttling the Navy August 29, 1943:Submarine HAVMANDENBy Søren Nørby, arts student The submarine HAVMANDEN was scuttled at the Royal Dockyard at 0415 hours in the morning of August 29th. It was raised on October 8th, and placed in the Søminegraven along with most of the other subs. HAVMANDEN was found at the Royal Dockyard in May, 1945. The navy didn't deem it worth repairing the sub, and it was sold for scrap in 1950.
