EJNAR MIKKELSEN embarks its fast Patrol Craft, SAR2

EJNAR MIKKELSEN embarks its LCP, the SAR2.
(Photo: Johnny E. Balsved)

The navy's newest offshore patrol vessels of the KNUD RASMUSSEN Class are both fitted with a fast patrol craft, a LCP or Landing Craft Personnel, to be used for Search and Rescue and shallow water operations in the arctic area.

The LCP has a docking bay at the stern of the offshore vessel, enabling embarking and disembarking at almost full speed and in high sea.

This photo album shows how the LCP approach the docking area on the off-shore patrol vessel EJNAR MIKKELSEN in calm sea in the port of Copen-hagen.
