Comments to the Class |
Former Norwegian KOBBEN Class.
Purchased from the Royal Norwegian Navy and modified in Norway before
the takeover.
One more sub of this class was purchased
from the Royal Norwegian Navy in 1992 (the KNM KAURA) to be used as
spare parts for the three sub in Danish service, mostly for the
SÆLEN. - The hull was
sold for scrapping later that year.
*)
Command ended on November 25, 2004. Final decommissioning awaiting
decision on scrapping or handing over to another nation. |
