The continued expansion and maintaining of this web site is quite time consuming, but this is alright with me, after all it is my favorite and chosen hobby.

It has never, and will not be, my intension to make a personal profit from this website.

But I would like to improve this web site even further, making it the best source for gathering information on the Danish Naval History on the Web.

Not just to the Danes, but I believe that a lot of people living outside this country have a great interest in naval history, and there the Danish Naval History is one of the eldest.

This is why I address this message to you, this is where you might come in.

Financial Support

Financial donations are primarily earmarked to speed up the translation of complete content of the web site into US/English, all in accordance to the Visions of this Web Site.

Your financial support will enable me first of all to pay a decent allowance and cover the expenses to the kind folks already to-day assisting me in the translation of this Web Site into US/English, making it even more informa-tive to a wider audience.

Secondly, it might also make it possible to call on some professionals to assist me on the technical production of this site, making it an even better and easier tool, and enabling me to focus on the continued research and writing additional parts of the Danish Naval History.

Great interest abroad

Since the early beginning of this web site in June 2001, more than 900,000 visitors have been visiting this site. - Hopefully most of them have enjoyed their visit.

More than 2/3rds of the visitors are coming from outside Denmark, whereas 50 percent of those are visiting from the US. The balance of the visitors are arriving from more than 121 countries around the Globe, quite a number of Europeans of course, but also quite a number of visitors from far more distant and exotic locations.

Today only 1/3rd of the almost 1,500 pages available have been translated into US/English, making them available to the rest of the World!

Personally I would like to make this whole site available to people abroad as well, at least in US/English.

But in the future maybe also available to non-Danish and non-US/English speaking visitors, like French, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese and maybe Arabic, only the economy is setting the limit.

Get your name on the List of Donations

Everyone making a donation to this web site will be included on the List of Donations, unless of course that you want to stay anonymous, in this case, please inform me when making your donation, and your name will not be included on the list.

Every individual, company or organization donating 100 US$/Euro or more are entitled to get a banner of their on the List of Donations, including a link to a Web Site.

Auditing

A Quarterly Profit and Loss Account together with a Balance Sheet will be made public and included on this website to insure that all donations are spend only to the benefit of this web site.

Should the total amount of donations within one year ever exceed 10,000 US$ or EURO's, the balance will be audited by an auditor appointed by the Royal Danish Naval Museum.

A summary of the auditor's records will be made public on this site, and the complete records will be forwarded by mail upon request.
